Frequently Asked Questions
Can the services be done on video communications, like Zoom?
Yes! While we prefer our first meetings to be in person, we are happy to accommodate our clients' schedules and needs.
Do you take clients from Plymouth Public Schools?
No, unfortunately this is a conflict of interest.
Do you offer services related to financial aid?
While we are familiar with financial aid and scholarship resources, we do not provide dedicated financial aid support as a service. However, we’re happy to share general information and direct you to helpful resources.
Do you offer hourly assistance without purchasing the complete package?
Yes, we can work to meet your research and application needs by coming up with a "pay by the hour" plan if you are not looking for the full package.
What is the cost to purchase additional hours?
$125 per hour
What if I don’t need so much writing help or advising Help?
The package includes up to three hours with an English Consultant and a College Consultant. We have some flexibility within those hours for meeting your individual needs. For example, if you feel you don’t need three hours of help with the College Essay, some of that time can be devoted to mock interviewing or developing college supplemental essay topics. If you feel you do not need three hours of college consulting, some of that time can be brainstorming ideas for scholarships, financial aid, etc. Any additional time above three hours of work in either English consulting or college consulting must be purchased additionally.
Do you help student-athletes or performing arts students with their applications?
Yes, we can help assist with the NCAA eligibility account for students looking to play Division 1 or 2 sports. We can also review any portfolios needed for arts programs.

At what grade should my child start working with a college consultant?
We recommend starting to work with us in the second half of a student’s junior year, and continue through the beginning of their senior year. This way, we are involved in the college application process. For younger students, we can always schedule “pre” meetings to discuss next steps and the beginning stages of the college search process. It’s never too early to start thinking about the future.
